Shelley apprenticed with Dr. Wang in Beijing from Sept. 2007 to May 2009, studying in his clinic and translating for classes and visiting international students. She uses Dr. Wang’s channel theory and palpation in both her clinical and scholarly work. Her current research focuses on re-interpreting classical acupuncture literature in light of the insights gleaned from manual palpation of the channels and new theories about the nature of the meridian-channels.
